There is a lot of variation in veterinarian recommendations regarding which vaccines pets should receive. These variations are usually due to the pet’s age, environmental factors (living situation and area of the country), any concurrent illness, previous vaccine history, and other considerations. Please talk to your veterinarian about which vaccines are most appropriate for your pet. Official vaccine guidelines for dogs and cats are published by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), respectively.
